#VyshyvankaLove Seminars

DhunAnand Foundation is organizing quarterly VyshyvankaLove Seminars in collaboration with the NGO, World Vyshyvanka Day, celebrating Ukrainian culture and tradition through the spirit of Vyshyvanka. Through these seminars, we hope to promote a greater understanding and appreciation of Ukrainian culture and traditions. The seminars will feature a diverse group of artists and activists who will help spread the spirit of Vyshyvanka.

“The spirit of Vyshyvanka, the traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirt, is rooted in Ukrainian culture, but the love and strength it represents is a universal gift for all of humanity,” said Shivpreet Singh Kapoor, founder of DhunAnand Foundation. “We are looking forward to partnering with the World Vyshyvanka Day NGO to help artists inspire a diverse group of people. We envision these webinars will provide a platform for cross-cultural dialogue and understanding. With quarterly seminars our aim is to share the spirit of Vyshyvanka throughout the year.”

Lesia Voroniuk

Lesia Voroniuk, born on December 27, 1987, in Chernivtsi, is a Ukrainian writer, screenwriter, producer, director, journalist, and public figure. Voronyuk founded Vyshuvanka’s Day in 2006 while studying at the university, which turned into an all-Ukrainian holiday and eventually an international one known as World Vyshyvanka Day celebrated every year on the third Thursday in May. She is also the head of the NGO “World Vyshyvanka Day” and the studio of documentary films “Divo.”

“We are pleased to work with DhunAnand to spread the spirit of Vyshyvanka with artists from around the world. “Vyshyvanka is a language of Ukrainian culture. Each stitch tells a story of our history, values, and traditions. It expresses our identity, connects us to our community, and reminds us of our heritage. Love weaves its own unique patterns, transcending cultural boundaries, bringing joy and comfort. Passed down from generation to generation, love is a treasure that enriches our lives and connects us to those we hold dear.”
