Celebrating Suellen Primost

Our dear ethereal cellist, Suellen Primost passed in 2025. She was bay area’s beloved cellist, and while she had cancer, she worked tirelessly to found and start programs at DhunAnand Foundation.  We are planning a memorial in her memory in March 28, 2026 in Berkeley, California which will headline one of America’s best finger guitarist, Muriel Anderson. The evening will feature one of America’s best finger guitarist, Muriel Anderson. There will be time in the second half of the event to jam along with Bay Area’s musicians. 

The toughest challenges humanity faces today include maintaining peace and tackling climate change.  Following the footsteps of Guru Nanak, we want to fight the toughest challenges we are facing through music, art and poetry.  Artists have the unique ability to change people’s hearts and save our planet by inspiring people to take positive action.

#BlueHeart Project

The #BlueHeart Project is an initiative led by teenagers, to raise awareness and inspire action for saving our oceans and marine life. One of the founders of the project, Arshiya Singh, says: 

“What makes our planet special is our one interconnected ocean: the blue heart of our planet. There would be no life on earth without it. Every breath we take, every drop of water we drink, every joy we experience is a gift of this life-giving ocean.” 

Our Mission

We support artists who are serving the planet. 

 

 

DhunAnand Foundation is a registered 501 (c)(3) organization in the USA and an NGO under 80G in India as well. 

Dhun means melody and Anand means joy.

#BreathingRoom Project

For a selected group of artists DhunAnand Foundation gives monthly stipends for at least a year. The idea is to cover nominal expenses for artists committed to their art and to serving the planet. If you or someone you know can benefit from the #BreathingRoom please contact us.

Artists Support Ukraine

The mission of Artists Support Ukraine (ASU) is to disseminate information about the Russian invasion in Ukraine and the consequences of the war and, at the same time, to support the Ukrainian creative sector including artists and cultural workers in need.

#BlueHeart Project

#BlueHeart project is DhunAnand Foundation’s initiative to raise awareness and inspire action to save our ocean. Almost three quarters of the earth’s surface is covered in water and around 90% of all the living space on Earth is contained in the interconnected ocean, the #BlueHeart of our planet.
