DhunAnand Foundation Provides Emergency Ration Kits to Flood-Affected Families in Badbar, Barnala District

BARNALA, PUNJAB — In response to severe flooding caused by continuous rainfall, DhunAnand Foundation distributed 60 emergency ration kits to vulnerable families in the Badbar area of Barnala District. Ration kits were prepared and distributed, each containing essential food items to support a family for approximately one month. In total, 60 families received assistance.

The relief effort was coordinated under the guidance of Preet Mohan Singh, online coordination from Sumeet Singh Bhui, with on-ground leadership from Master Rishi Kumar, Master Avnish Kumar, Avtar Singh, Sarpanch Jagga Singh, and Jathedar Gurumukh Singh. Volunteers worked closely with the Punjab Education Department to verify households most affected by the floods. District Education Officer (Secondary) Jasvir Kaur and District Education Officer (Primary) Sunitar Singh expressed appreciation for the Foundation’s timely response, noting the importance of such support during difficult conditions.

“Serving communities in times of crisis is a natural extension of our mission,” said Preet Mohan Singh. “DhunAnand seeks to uplift artists and changemakers who serve the earth—and service must begin with caring for those facing immediate hardship. We are grateful to our volunteers and partners who made this relief possible.”

Senior member and social worker Jathedar Gurumukh Singh said, “We are thankful to Sardar Preet Mohan Singh for his dedicated and humanitarian service, describing his work as truly commendable and socially uplifting. His father, Sardar Vasdev Singh had migrated from Multan and the family is highly respected in the village for their involvement in the community.”
