DhunAnand Foundation Celebrates World Ocean Day with Dr. Zach Pine and Workday Employees
Artists and Environmentalists Join Forces to Protect the Planet
San Francisco, California — The DhunAnand Foundation proudly celebrated World Ocean Day 2024 with environmental artist Dr. Zach Pine and employees from Workday, coming together in a collective effort to honor and protect our oceans. This year’s event, held at Crissy Field East Beach, featured hands-on nature art, environmental discussions, and community engagement activities designed to foster awareness and action for ocean conservation.
World Ocean Day serves as a global reminder of the importance of our oceans in sustaining life on Earth. Through artistic expression and collaborative action, the DhunAnand Foundation aims to inspire individuals and organizations to take responsibility for protecting marine ecosystems.
“The ocean has always been a source of mystery and wonder, and yet it faces immense challenges due to climate change, pollution, and human impact,” said Shivpreet Singh, founder of DhunAnand Foundation. “By engaging in creative projects and hands-on experiences, we hope to deepen our collective connection to nature and encourage sustainable action.”
Dr. Zach Pine, a renowned environmental artist, led participants in a collaborative nature art installation using materials found along the shoreline. His work emphasizes the impermanence and beauty of nature, reinforcing the message of stewardship and care. “Art has the power to bring people together and transform how we see the world around us,” said Dr. Pine. “Through this event, we not only created something beautiful but also strengthened our sense of responsibility toward the ocean and the planet.”
